Hey readers!

It’s been a minute and a half! I thought it was time to add to the blog with a quick writing update.

Alright, so right now, I’m working on the still-untitled second book of Olexia Legends. It’s still in the editing stage, but we’re getting closer to beta readers each day. I’m deep in the line edits right now, and they’re going well, though there have been a few hiccups!

It’s smooth sailing except for this one scene, that turned into problems with a few chapters, that snowballed, and now I have an issue with a character arc! Gah! It’s alright though, I’ve been able to fix this faster than I first thought I could, and most of the wrinkles are already ironed out.

Line edits are where I feel I struggle the most as a writer, so this stage is painfully slow, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s getting brighter. Before I know it, this book will be in the hands of beta readers, and regular readers soon after that.

I’m roughly 60% done with edits, though it’s hard to say as each chapter requires a different level of attention and time. I hope to get this to betas in the next couple of months, but as always, we’ll see.

If you’re following me on Instagram (my most active social media instagram.com/sydfaithauthor ) you likely already know via my latest live stream that I’m going to be releasing a second edition of The Delinquent Crown, with a little bit of new content, a brand new cover, and a sneak peek of book 2! I plan on working on this while book 2 is in the beta process, but I might be a little in over my head on this one.

For those who have already read, don’t worry. There won’t be any changes to the actual story or world. I’m mainly doing this 2nd edition for the new cover, but I might as well polish up a few little things while I’m making the change.
